Meet Alana!
Hey y’all! I’m Alana (pronounced uh-lane-uh), the digital illustrator and owner behind Stark + Stanley.I was born and raised in Athens, GA, and now live in Austin, TX with my husband and our dog, Pepper. When I’m not working on Stark + Stanley, you’ll usually find me reading, exploring Austin’s amazing restaurant and cocktail scene, or traveling the country—and soon, the world!—to attend as many hockey games as I can. My goal is to visit all 32 NHL arenas, though I’ve been happily adding AHL, ECHL, and other league arenas to the list along the way.
The name "Stark + Stanley" is inspired by two of my favorite things: my dog, Stark, and the greatest trophy in sports—the Stanley Cup.
Stark was my constant companion. Whether I was packing orders with him curled up in the big yellow chair or heading out to the post office with him watching from the front window, he was always by my side.
In August 2023, we lost Stark to canine cancer. It was a profound loss for me and my family, but his spirit lives on in every design, sticker, and creation that comes from S+S.
